  • What are your Late Class Cancellation and No Show Policies?
You must cancel your class at least 12 hours prior to your scheduled class time. This allows enough time for other members who want to sign up for that class time to do so as our classes can fill up quickly. If you are an Unlimited Member, fees are as follows: Late Cancel Fee: $10 per Late Cancel No Show Fee: $15 per No Show Late charge: $20 per Late Payment If you have a 4-pack Membership or an 8-pack Membership, you will have a class subtracted from your membership if you have a late cancel or are a no show to a scheduled class.
  • How many classes can I book at one time and how far out if I'm an Unlimited Member?
You are able to schedule up to 20 classes at one time for up to one month (30 days). As memberships are billed monthly, you can only book within the current month of your membership and this will be based on each client's billing cycle. So if your membership is from the 18th of the month to the 17th of the next month, you will be able to book up to 20 classes in that time period. We may have monthly schedule changes for instructors and class level times so we are trying to avoid an increase in class cancellations if they are booked too far in advance.
  • What is your Membership Requirement?
All 4pk, 8pk and Unlimited Package Memberships have an initial term contract required. Your recurring dues membership has an initial term of 3 months (90 Days) (the “Initial Term”). At the end of the Initial Term, your recurring dues membership automatically renews on a month-to-month basis. With limited exception (as described below), if you cancel your contract during the Initial Term, you will be charged an early termination fee of $100. If (I) the Initial Term of your recurring dues membership is one month or less; or (II) the Initial Term has ended and you have not provided written notice of cancellation at least 30 days prior to the end of the Initial Term, your membership is considered “month-to-month.” You may cancel your month-to-month membership at any time with written notice given 30 days in advance.
  • Can I freeze/pause my membership?
If you are temporarily unable to use the Coastal Pilates studio for medical reasons or travel, you may request a pause of your membership in monthly increments. You may be required to provide a written doctor's note at the time of requesting a freeze and may be required complete related documentation as required by Coastal Pilates if you are having surgery. You acknowledge and understand that freezing your membership will extend the term of the Agreement and that you will still be obligated to pay your monthly dues as per your original Agreement until the minimum term has expired. You must notify Coastal Pilates upon returning from the pause. Coastal Pilates will resume regular charging, and you will be obligated to pay your monthly dues until the minimum term has expired. A fee of up to $15 per month may be assessed for pausing a membership. Coastal Pilates reserves the right to adjust this freeze policy from time to time at its sole discretion. All requests must be received at least thirty (30) days prior to your next billing date period. Retroactive freezes will not be accepted. If your membership was a founder's special you will be allowed one (1) freeze for up to 3 months before you lose your founder's price.
  • Are children allowed in the studio?
Minors under the age of 14 are not permitted in the studio. We do not have a place for them to wait for class to be over, nor do we have someone available to keep an eye on them while you are in class. Minors ages 14 to 17 are not permitted in the studio unless they are actively involved and enrolled in a class or session and have had a parent or guardian sign the Minor Participant Waiver in person at the Coastal Pilates studio. We offer a wide variety of class times to accommodate busy schedules.
  • Do you have gift certificates available?
Yes we do have gift certificates available. Please see the front desk to purchase. They can be used for classes and merchandise. Our gift certificates expire one (1) year after the date they are issued.
  • How long are classes?
Each class is 50 minutes long. There is a 10 minute break in between each class for instructors to make sure everything is clean and in place for the next class to begin. Private lessons are either 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on what you wish to purchase.
  • Do you accept insurance as a form of payment for classes?
At this time, we do not. We understand that there are other Franchised Fitness Facilities that do offer this option as a benefit. However, as a newly established business, that is not currently on the horizon for us. We may revisit this option in the future.
  • What do I need to wear or bring to class?
Remember Grip Socks: Grip socks are essential for your safety and comfort during our classes. If you don't have a pair, don't worry! We have them available for purchase at the studio. Comfortable Clothing: You will want to dress comfortably without restrictive fabric. (i.e. leggings, compression shorts, tanks, tees, sports bra, etc.) We do have Coastal Merchandise available in the studio as well. Hair Pulled Back: For those clients with long hair, you will want to have your hair pulled back to avoid getting caught on any of the equipment and so that it does not impede your view of the instructor. If you forget one, we have them available in the restroom on the shelf! Water Bottle: You will want to stay hydrated while you are in class. Bring a water bottle with you that has a lid. We have a water cooler in the studio for refills and we also have some awesome Double Wall Stainless Coastal Water Bottles and Tumblers available for sale!
